Not sure what to do this Father’s Day? Treat all those Twiggle-tastic dads, grandads, brothers, uncles and best friends to a day he’ll never forget with these easy-peasy activities in the woods…

1) Take part in a game of Zippy Races

Get ready for some friendly competition as the kids take on the grown-ups in this fast-paced race along the zip wires! Who will win?!

2) Go on a scavenger hunt

Work as a team and use your tracking skills to locate hidden tokens or treasures… Or better still, complete our Puzzling Park Trail! Pick yours up on arrival!

3) Make a curious craft together

The ideal activity for any creative explorer, why not get crafty and make something together as a team? Head over to the Big Hat during your day in the woods and you can even make a ‘BeWILD Forever Crown’ to wear during your day of celebration!

4) Enjoy a delicious ice cream!

Who doesn’t love an ice cream?! BeWILDerwood has lots of delicious flavours available, making sure there’s a sweet treat for everyone, mmm!

5) Fill up a scrapbook

Snap some silly selfies, collect curious-looking leaves and draw some daft doodles of your adventure… Fill up your scrapbook with fond memories that you can look back on in years to come.

6) Build a den

No Dad can resist showing off his den-building skills – so make the most of it this Father’s Day and work together to create a masterpiece… and be proud of all your handiwork (but especially his!)

7) Do some wildlife spotting

The WILD woods aren’t just home to the Twiggles and Boggles – plenty of British wildlife can be spied through the undergrowth! Why not write a checklist to tick off as your adventure unfolds?

8) Relive his childhood

Go on a nostalgic trip down memory lane: climb trees and scrape knees; play “it” and whoosh down big slides; make it to the top of the Sky Maze and clamber up the Towering Treetop Tangles… A full day of childhood memories brought back to life!

9) Go for a picnic

Load up a hamper with all his favourite food and drinks, find a sunny spot and thrown down a blanket for sitting on – sometimes the best way to his heart really is food!

10) Get some soopa face paint

Fun for all the family, and a perfect addition to any family picture – face painting will add the cherry on top to a day of WILD fun!

What’s on this Easter in the WILD woods? 

Storytelling Stage – The bestest way to join in with all the Easter fun this spring is to watch our brand-new story, The Pesky Bunnies of BeWILDerwood – coming to the woods especially for the Easter holidays, ooooh!  

Big Hat craft tent – Disguise yourself as a Pesky Bunny and make your very own Bunny Ears in the Big Hat, open 11am – 4pm.  

Face Painting Pavilion – Complete your look with whiskers and a bunny nose (to match your bunny ears). Face painting is available from 11am – 4pm, we recommend hopping over there early!  

Eggcellent Easter Egg Hunt  

Bounce your way around the woods and go on an Easter egg hunt along our Puzzling Park Trail. The Pesky Bunnies have been eggstremely cheeky and hidden 6 giant eggs in the WILD woods – can you help find them for your chance to win a cracking prize?  

Family fun in the woods!  

As well as lots of eggcellent Easter fun, there’s also all the usual adventure in the woods for the whole family to enjoy together. Explore slippery slides, extra long zip wires, Den Building and lots, lots more! Grown-ups play tooo at BeWILDerwood so it really is a full family day out.  

So, make it an Easter holidays to remember and plan your WILD family adventure in the woods before it’s too late – we expect tickets to whizz out of the woods, so hop to it! 

The Twiggles and Boggles are soopa doopa excited to open the wonky wooden gates for BeWILDerwood Cheshire’s first ever February half term – will you be joining us in the woods sooon?

We thought we’d pop some handy tips below to make sure you have the BEST DAY EVER with us!

You can either book your adventure online (before 10am on the day you’re visiting) or simply turn up and purchase tickets on arrival, it’s up to yoooou!

Wrap up nice and warm, it is February after all! We recommend waterproofs, trainers, or wellies – basically anything you don’t mind getting a little bit grubby!

Remember to visit our sparkly new play structure, The Towering Treetop Tangles, whilst on your adventure in the woods. Located just past the Storytelling Stage, it’s one for the braver explorers.

Watch our new story, Wish Whirling, at the Storytelling Stage. Located next to Munch Bar, it’s the perfect opportunity to warm up with a yummy hot chocolate whilst watching BeWILDerwood come to life. Make sure you take a looksie at the Plan Your Day Board for daily storytelling show times!

Don’t forget to pick up a Puzzling Park Trail from the Grubbles’ Greetings Gates on arrival. Find the clues dotted around the woods and receive a BeWILDerwood badge at the end, yippee!

Head to the Big Hat* craft tent and make your very own Wish Whirler to help your wishes make their way to the Twiggles in the trees. The Face Painting Pavilion* is also located next door, so be sure to sparkle with stars and swirls! (*open 11am – 4pm)

Didn’t get chance to visit Cheshire’s newest, wildest day out last year? Good news, BeWILDerwood Cheshire is back for 2022 and the Twiggles have just announced our opening dates for the year ahead, yippee!

The wonky wooden gates reopen on the 19th February, just in time for half term, hooray!

Tickets are available from the 12th January and it’s advised to plan ahead and book your adventures early. Last year we saw phenomenal demand as lots of explorers wanted to come and run WILD in the woods.

Our Top Banana aka Park Manager Hannah Monteverde said:

“After such a fantastic opening last year, the Twiggle Team can’t wait to reopen and bring even more BeWILDerwood magic to the area.
As well as our famous Slippery Slides, Wobbly Zip Wires and Storytelling Shows we are also excited for visitors to explore our new play structure, The Towering Treetop Tangles.
We will also have face painting this year, which as with everything here at BeWILDerwood is included in the ticket price – so no hidden costs, just lots and lots of fun for explorers.”

The Boggles and Twiggles reaaally like this soopa cool Hobbit Hut! Just 25 minutes from BeWILDerwood Cheshire.

Carden Park

Soopa fancy and soopa lovely, Carden Park is set within a golf course, with a lovely new spa tooo! Under 20 minutes from the WILD woods!

Shropshire Holiday Barns

Just under 20-minute drive from us these self-catered barns eeeeven have a swimming pool, wowee! We think Mildred would like it here!

Moss Cottage

In walking distance from the WILD woods, this lovely private suite includes a double bed and two single beds for your teeny explorers.

Chester Lakes Camping

Looking to camp? Chester Lakes Camping is just a 30-minute drive away and is set on a lake, but it’s not a Scaaaaary Lake!

Forest Holidays

Located in Delamere Forest, these lovely lodges even have hot tubs, oooh fancy! Just a 30-minute drive from BeWILDerwood Cheshire.

Manor Wood Caravan Park

Caravans, Motorhomes and Bell Tents… Manor Wood cater for all, yippee! They even have a swimming pool and tennis courts to keep WILD explorers busy!

The Twiggles and Boggles have put together their 5 top tips to ensure you have the best day ever at BeWILDerwood Cheshire!

1. Plan your adventure well in advance on our wibbly website. Make sure you book online before you come to play in the WILD woods! Don’t forget to download your tickets on your talky device before you arrive – so that our Twiggle Team can get you into the woods in a flash!

2. Come prepared for your WILD adventure! As we’re in a natural woodland, make sure you’ve packed sun cream, sun hats, raincoats (just in case), insect repellent and water. We also have a Cosy Cabin and Munch Bar where you can buy yummy food and drink to fuel you day of exploring!

3. Psst! Go anti-clockwise around the park! Visit Den Building first then continue your adventure to the Sky Maze and our second set of Slippery Slopes, yippee!

You could also start your day by heading straight to the Wobbly Wires too, as they’re often a quieter in the mornings.

Whilst exploring, don’t forget to watch one of the Storytelling Shows and make a craft in the Big Hat tooo – see our ‘Plan Your Day‘ board on arrival for Twiggle timings.

4. Bring a picnic blanket with you! You may need a quick break from climbing and clambering around the WILD woods. Our car park is a 10-minute walk from the centre of the woods, so you can even pop back and get it!

5. Wear soopa comfy clothes and trainers, suitable for exploring the natural woods! To ensure you have the best time on our Slippery slides be sure to keep your skin covered.

• Tasty food to fuel your adventure – Visit the Cosy Cabin and the Munch Bar for yummy food and snacks – all locally sourced! We have plenty of picnic benches too!

• Adventuring with Teeny Twiggles? Try Tiptoe Valley, Toddlewood on the Hill, or the Twiggle Whizzers. If you prefer a discreet area for baby feeding, visit the Nursing Nook by The Big Hat.

• Continue your adventure – Visit the Bizarre Bazaar before you leave for lots of BeWILDerwood goodies to continue the story at home!
